A&E has released many British shows, including almost all of the Gerry Anderson series. However, many of those were originally released from Carlton in Great Britain, so all A&E had to do was repackage them. --- In probe_control@yahoogroups.com, "Marta Dawes" wrote: > > "Good Morning World" seems as obscure as they come to me, because I don't > remember it. What I've REALLY been trying to find is any info or articles on the infamous 'Probe' press conference in which Angel and Tony Franciosa appeared and answered reporters' questions about the show. I estimate it occurred between May and June '72, but that's all so far. But I've found other items of interest along the way. What I've noticed is that the local paper was receiving the various press releases from Warner Bros. and they were using many of them to help fill space in their weekly TV section. We have several actual press releases obtained from Lincoln Enterprises reprinted & transcribed at probecontrol.com and it's interesting to see the same phrases crop up. The other thing I notice in these early reports is how promising everything appeared just as the series was beginning to be put together. Everyone had high hopes, etc. Sad that a number of key areas sort of fell apart after they finished shooting "The Gold Machine." Also, I didn't know Angel did the April '72 AJC interview on 'Prime Cut' until I ran across it last week. Angel's issue of Playboy appeared around early '72, and the issue should be out there somewhere in the collector's circuit. You can try comic book and magazine collectors, comic conventions, etc. I think Actingman said he had a copy of the issue? I haven't tried a Google on Angel, but you may get some info/pics that way too. She also reportedly sells pics at some of her autograph show appearances, as one of our list members discovered recently. :-) --- In probe_control@yahoogroups.com, "Stephen Russell" wrote: > What No Angel Tomkins PLayboy shots or bikini shots > ( commercials if any done). > Or general commercial shots???? > Nice shots though. > Classic beauty even for 2006 era. #3972 From: "len1552" Date: Sun Jun 4, 2006 10:50 pm Subject: Re: No Angel Playboy shots etc??? len1552 *Ahem* Not that I've ever looked for this kind of thing before, but Angel's Playboy was Feb 72, $200 at the Playboy website... or $12 at http://amres.com/... or $5 from https://cr3.com/sillycart.cgi?a=l;s=playboys OR... $3.89 from www.thegreatescapeonline.com/ --- In probe_control@yahoogroups.com, "dghprobe3" wrote: > > What I've been doing lately is going thru some of the newspaper > microfilms in area libraries, not only for Search but also for other > Yahoo groups of which I'm a member. > > What I've REALLY been trying to find is any info or articles on the > infamous 'Probe' press conference in which Angel and Tony Franciosa > appeared and answered reporters' questions about the show. I know he has a few episodes of Search, but when I asked, they were scattered among all his other tapes. I don't know if he has the entire run -- he may not even know for sure. It's best not to pester him about it since he posts a LOT of different stuff and gets LOTS of requests. Besides, in the case of Search, his stuff is medium to low quality (although VERY appreciated).
