1 Lockwood, ace investigator,
was summoned to Probe Control.

2 Mr. and Mrs. Kuo asked
help in locating old gold mine.
|
|

3 Lockwood flew to San
Francisco, was met by a chauffeur.
|
|
|
4 Warned in time, Lockwood
dived to safety as the car exploded.
|
|
|
5 He found that the blast
had temporarily deafened him.
|
|
|
6 Seeking a man named
Eastman, suspected in the Kuo case...

|
|
7 ...He bribed a hotel
clerk for Eastman's room number.

REEL 2
1 He found Eastman dead in
his room beside a book of poetry.
|
|
|
2 Gloria Harding, Lockwood's
monitor, met him in S.F.
|
|
|
3 They kissed while waiting
for the bookstore proprietor.
|
|
|
4 "Lockwood must not find
the mine!" Gen. Chu warned.
|
|
|
5 "A map is hidden in
that poetry book," said the bookseller.
|
|
|
6 Gloria realized that
Lockwood had recovered his hearing.
|
|
|
7 "That map will
lead us to the mine!" Lockwood exulted.

REEL 3
1 Next
morning, Probe tracked their helicopter survey flight.
|
|
|
2 A
rifle shot from the ground disabled the helicopter.
|
|
|
3 Gloria
insisted that Lockwood and their guide pause to eat.
|
|
|
4 Finding
the "abandoned" mine, they saw fresh mule tracks.
|
|
|
5 "Mr.
Kuo and I will have to kill you," said Gen. Chu.
|
|
|
6 Rescued
by his guide, Lockwood returned to the mine.
|
|
|
7 Probe
heard him say: "Uranium--enough to blow up the world!"
