SEARCH: Unknown Scenes
In scanning the SEARCH filmclips, I sometimes run across scenes I don't recognize. This can be either because it is test footage, leftovers from scenes that were used, unused scenes, stock footage, or footage from newsreels or other shows.
Below are scenes that came with the Lincoln Enterprises SEARCH filmclips over the years which I cannot identify. The hope is that someone on the mailing list will be able to figure out what these scenes represent. Thanks to anyone who can help. :-)
Possibly Identified: Above left appears to be straw with leaves and a hole in burlap. Tomatprobe said it was likely the Mega Trans Package near the end of "Short Circuit" when we see it in the grass on fire. It's difficult to be 100% sure, but it does look similar. The only thing I notice in the upper right picture is the lack of leaves, but someone could have cleaned them out.
When I first saw the filmclip above left, I guessed it was Bill Bixby from "The Adonis File." However, after scanning it, I'm not so sure (see comparison above right). The clothes have similar coloring, but the details are different. The fellow above left appears to be in a cave or a pit. Anyone else run across this filmclip or know what it is from?
Back in the 1970's, the above would be called a hippie couple. Look familiar to anyone?
When I first saw this filmclip above, I thought it might have been the news reporter who was cut from the beginning of "In Search of Midas" (see the script). However, it is clear that this man is in an office, not a newsroom. This seems to have been meant to be inserted on the Probe Control viewscreen. Anyone recognize this scene or the actor?
Above is a closeup of a jacket with pockets. I thought this might be the one worn by Kuo near the end of "The Gold Machine." But it is difficult to tell, even looking at the video. Does anyone else has a similar filmclip, especially one where the camera has pulled back? Tomatprobe suggested it could be from one of Col. Mirzah's men in "Moonrock."
This appears to be an airport scene or a company entrance, but is it from "Short Circuit", "Flight to Nowhere" or some other episode or production?
Above is a "bad guy" on the Probe Control viewscreen, who I don't recall. The problem with the pic is that his hair mixes with the background. Can anyone identify this?
This looks like stock footage or a scene from a film or movie. Again, is this familiar to anyone?
Above seems to be newsreel footage of a motorcade. Was any of this used in a "Search" episode? Again, this could be among many reels the film editors had on hand just in case, but ended up not using.
