 Lincoln Enterprise Catalog #4

This catalog is from John's collection, it was probably mimeographed from 11 x 17 office paper, then folded and stapled in the middle. Postmarked 2/73. Note that not all of the episodes are listed--January episodes are missing. "The Consortium" was aired under the name "The Adonis File". "The Carrier" was aired under the name "Countdown to Panic".

It's reported that Majel Rodenberry was quoted at a convention in the 1980's to have said that it was Robert H. Justman who got Lincoln Enterprises to sell Search merchandise. Justman had close ties to Gene Rodenberry, first as associate producer, and later co-producer of Star Trek. (And later on as producer of the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation.)

Probe, The Pilot Movie from Unicorn Video

The pilot movie "Probe" was released by Unicorn Video, it bears a copyright 1972 Lorimar Pictures, which was the year "Probe" was first seen on TV.

This video was probably released during the 80's. "Probe" was a pilot for the series, NBC decided to air the series, and changed the name to "Search". Before the fall season they again showed this pilot, but changed it's name to "Search" to match the series. When local stations would show this pilot/movie, they showed the version known as "Search".

  Scanner Being Worn

This probe agent prefers to wear her scanner as jewelery. It's strong magnetic backing keeps it in place during her investigative activity, but makes it easy to remove, when needing to aim the camera. Useful for lock picking, survellance, etc.

Probe, The Pilot Movie from Unicorn Video

Yes, the Unicorn Video is still available. You need to contact a video store that specializes in hard to find videos. The last time I bought a copy, Probe was still available new and shrinkwrapped.
(Aprox. $70, the price seems to go up every order).
If your video store, or website is telling you that Probe is out of print, contact Bryan and I will try to get a copy for you.
